Assistant Professor, Research unit of medical imaging physics and technology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland

Research interests

Contrast-enhanced computed tomography, high-resolution CT and x-ray microscopy, image segmentation and machine learning, imaging biomarkers.

CT in research/clinic

My research aims to introduce novel methods to gain further information on microstructures from computed tomography in both research and clinical setting. In addition, I have established novel methods to allow high-resolution CT imaging of soft tissues.

Statement on OCTA mission

To raise awareness of computed tomography in osteoarthritis research from pre-clinical to clinical setting, standardize protocols, and inspire international collaborations to develop innovative imaging biomarkers for diagnostic imaging that could allow treatment monitoring.
